The photographs, that are completed in alternative developing and printing processes, will be displayed in a new light with this exhibition.

Nila Tanner at The Corridor Gallery

Impressions of Southern Illinois by Nila Tanner is on view at The Corridor Gallery from May 10 – July 14. Tanner grew up in Pinckneyville, IL and currently resides in Carbondale. As a young adult, she attended painting classes with Nevins Ware, a talented painter and businessman in Pinckneyville. Her work consists mostly of landscapes of her beloved Southern Illinois. Echoing the Impressionism art movement, Tanner uses a unique color palette of blues, greens and purples  with emphasis on the fluidity of oil paint in each brush stroke.
