| Our Juror, David Hammond, chose awards for the exhibition as follows: Best in Show: “No Left Turn” by Janet Bixler, Second Place: “Fallen Leaves” by Darby Ortolano, and Third Place: “Banjo Leaf” by Marty Merrill. Honorable Mentions were awarded to “Twilight” by Eyde Arndell, “Summer Time in Southern Illinois” by Liz Davidson, “Pause. | Suzanne Asaturian's photography exhibition is on view at The Corridor Gallery through the month of April. The exhibition titled, Beautiful Southern Illinois in Every Season, features photographs showcasing Southern Illinois' diverse flora and fauna that change with the seasons, offering new experiences year round. The Corridor Gallery is located in the Carbondale Civic Center. Visitors can view the exhibition Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm. A selection of the exhibition is featured online in Shop 304. Purchased artwork will be available for pick up in the beginning of May. |

| | Upcoming Exhibition Middle School Art Exhibition Artspace 304 presents the Middle School Art Exhibition in conjunction with Art for All, Southern Illinois' arts education advocacy group. The exhibition will be on view April 21 - May 6, with a closing reception on Saturday, May 6 from 2 - 4 pm. More information coming soon. |

| Artists and Artist Teams are encouraged to view the application, select a site, and create a design proposal. Awards are $5,000 – $15,000 depending on the size and scope of your mural design. Submit your proposals, budgets, and previous experience by April 16. | The 8th Annual Shawnee Hills Pottery Trail will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7, 2023, from 9am – 5pm. Nine exceptional potters, with more than 250 years of collective pottery making experience, will open their studios at 6 different locations and exhibit their work. |

| Illinois Creative Recovery Grants, known as: Back2Business - Arts Grants (B2B-Arts) Calling all Creatives! Thanks to advocacy efforts by a statewide coalition led by Arts Alliance Illinois, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will distribute a historic $50 million in grant money to assist businesses, nonprofit organizations, and sole proprietors in the creative sector that have struggled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The DCEO Illinois Creative Recovery Grant application portal opens on Wednesday, April 5. If you operate in the creative space, we encourage you to visit illinois.gov/b2b for details on eligibility guidelines and more information on how to apply. Art Competition Are You Really Winning? invites artists to participate in this statewide campaign through the submission of artwork that brings a powerful voice to problem gambling issues and motivates those afflicted with gambling addiction to seek help. Competition Eligibility & Details: - All Illinois-based artists, aged 21 and over
- Entry is FREE
- Accepted mediums include: Drawing, illustration, painting, printmaking, photography, mixed media, collage, digital art, fiber art, textiles, glass art, ceramic art, assemblage, and sculpture
- Submission deadline: April 12, 2023, midnight MST
- Selected artwork will be publicly unveiled at a media event at the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling Conference in May
